MEET THE TEAM

About Us

Omnia Jiu-Jitsu Academy is a family owned and operated academy run by passionate instructors that love sharing the art of Jiu-Jitsu. As a new academy, we are focused on creating a welcoming space where students of all ages and experience levels can learn, grow, and train together.

We are deeply invested in the benefits Jiu-Jitsu brings both on and off the mats, helping people build confidence, discipline, and resilience that carry into everyday life.

Whether you are just beginning, or returning to the mats, our team is here to support you every step of the way.

  • Founder / Head Instructor

Robert Clark grew up in northwest Tucson, and started his wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu training while attending high school at Mountain View High School. After graduation, he shifted his focus toward building a career in hospitality management and insurance services, stepping away from the mats for almost a decade. Eventually, Robert found himself back on the mats when looking to get in shape. However, what began as a fitness activity soon became something more, as the lessons he learned on the mats started to shape every part of his life.

Driven by that growth, Robert dedicated himself to training, competing, and eventually teaching the art. Over the years, he has earned multiple state, national, and World Master championship titles, establishing himself as one of the top masters level competitors in Tucson. While he enjoys the sport and competition, Robert's true passion lies in sharing Jiu-Jitsu with others. He is committed to helping students build confidence, discipline, and resilience that carry into every part of life. As a coach and academy owner, his mission is to help others reach their highest potential and walk through life as champions.

Robert is a black belt under Paragon Arizona black belts Manuel Flores and Brenda Soto, and a part of the lineage of the world renowned Ricardo "Franjinha" Miller. He has been teaching and training both kids and adults in Jiu-Jitsu for over a decade. Together, he and Ashley Clark have shared a dream of bringing their style of Jiu-Jitsu to northwest Marana and creating a space where the next generation can train, grow, and thrive through this beautiful art.

She began her Jiu-Jitsu journey as a means to learn self-defense and to find a hobby that was challenging. What she found was an amazing women’s community and an art that made her feel empowered and confident. Now, she’s on a mission to share her passion with her community in northwest Marana. You’ll find Ashley at our academy teaching our Women’s, Kid’s, and Adults classes.

  • You’ve probably seen this guy all over the website. This is Christian. He’s been training and competing in Jiu-Jitsu for 4 years. While Christian loves to test himself in competition, he trains Jiu-Jitsu because he loves making new friends, learning new techniques, and being active. When he isn’t doing Jiu-Jitsu, he likes to spend his time being outside, laughing, and playing other sports like soccer and baseball. You can typically spot Christian at the academy either doing his homework, playing with friends, or not looking at the camera during pictures :)
